East Main Street Sidewalk

The East Main Street Sidewalk project includes the installation of a 5’ sidewalk along S.R. 24 from Lester Road to the west side of Veterans Parkway, an 8’ sidewalk from the east side of Veterans Parkway connecting to the end of the existing sidewalk and associated curb and gutter at the new sidewalk location. Filling in this missing link of sidewalk will create a continuous network of sidewalk approximately 1.4 miles in length, connecting several residential neighborhoods, apartment complexes, Mill Creek Park, Mill Creek Elementary, Statesboro High School and nearby shopping. This project has a total cost of $477,927.50 which is funded with 2013 SPLOST funds and a Georgia Department of Transportation Multi-modal Safety and Access Grant
