    The City requires all bids $20,000 and over to be submitted by a sealed bid by the date and time indicated in the bid packet.

  • Does the City have a local preference policy?

    Yes – Local vendors will have the opportunity to match any outside bids that are within a 3% margin of the lowest bid quote.

  • Can we contact City Departments for possible interest in products offered?

    Yes – But please contact the Purchasing Director first for pre-approval.

  • How do I check on the status of a bid that was submitted?

    Refer to the ‘Closed Bid Results” in the “Quick Links” tab.  Final status of each bid will be posted after the bid process has been completed and awarded.

  • Do all bids have to be advertised in the newspaper?

    Only sealed bids must be advertised in the paper two times prior to the bid opening date.  The first must be printed 14 days prior to the bid opening and then a second printing at least 7 days after the first printing.

  • How long does a bid have to be advertised?

    All sealed bids must be advertised by two printings.  The first printing must be 14 days prior to the opening bid date and the second printed at least 7 days after the initial printing.
