At Statesboro Area Transit, our mission is to get you where you want to go! With over 30 stops around the city, Statesboro Area Transit provides greater access to shopping, healthcare, community events, and much more. It’s easy, quick, safe, and affordable.   • Bus Routes and Transfers

    The transit system will feature two fixed routes, a Blue and Red route with two buses assigned to each route. Click HERE to view the route map.

    A bus shelter located in the city’s public parking lot on South College Street in Downtown Statesboro will serve as a transfer station where riders can transfer from one route to another. There is no cost for transferring. Riders will be given a transfer ticket from their bus driver to present when boarding the new bus route.

    Statesboro Area Transit bus stops do not have scheduled arrival times. Riders will typically wait no more than 20 to 30 minutes for a bus to arrive.

  • Hours of Operation

    Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Fare Rates

    Fare rates start at just $1 for a one-way trip and $2 for a round trip. Only cash and exact change will be accepted at this time. Discounted rates are available for seniors, college students, and individuals with disabilities. To obtain a discount card, riders will need to visit the city’s engineering department at City Hall (50 E Main Street, Statesboro). For questions, call 912-764-0664.

  • Reservations

    Statesboro Area Transit offers riders the option to schedule a pickup from their desired location with 24 hours notice. The pickup location must be within ¼ mile of the set Blue and Red routes.

  • Underage Riders

    Minors aged 14-18 may ride without a parent or guardian but must have a signed parental waiver. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Child car seats are also required for children who need them.  Full fare rates apply to minors and children.
