Statesboro Area Transit

The City of Statesboro is partnering with the Coastal Regional Commission to provide transit service for the citizens of Statesboro.

The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) is the designated sub-recipient of Federal Transit Administration funding and will include the City of Statesboro as part of their implementation plan. In which, the City will have its own Cost Center for transit system service to its citizens.

Statesboro’s city system would be operated on two, mostly fixed routes (see map link below) traveling east-west and north-south. However, the system is also considered a “flex service” because it would provide a pick-up option away from the usual stops with 24-hour notice. The system will have a downtown transfer station to access either route if a change in direction is needed.

The Baseline Service will be Monday – Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a $1.00 proposed fare. In addition, there will be a 24 hr. advance notice pick-up option.
