    Yes. Public Works will remove dead animals from City Roadways. However, Public Works will not remove a deceased animal from private property. If a complaint in regards to a dead animal is made to Public Works, a crew will pick up the dead animal and take it to the transfer station. To notify Public Works of a dead animal on a City street, please contact Public Works at 912.764.0681 and have a correct location or address where the crew will find the deceased animal.

    All city Polycarts can be identified by a serial number. If the Polycart is lost or stolen and is never recovered, the property owner is responsible for purchasing a new Polycart from Public Works. Public Works will replace a Polycart for free if the property owner has moved into a new location and is unable to locate the assigned Polycart.
