The City of Statesboro has released its 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, developed in partnership with the Coastal Regional Commission. This five-year plan outlines key priorities and projects to guide near-term growth and community development.
Unlike the long-term focus of a Comprehensive Plan, the Strategic Plan targets immediate goals and investments. The City’s Strategic Plan is a vital document developed through community input. The plan is intended to address local needs in the near term by outlining top priorities for the community and providing supporting strategies for the future.
Building on the progress made in the 2018 plan—including improvements in housing, infrastructure, and downtown revitalization—the updated plan reflects input from residents and local stakeholders. Residents, stakeholders, and community partners were engaged throughout the planning process to help shape the plan’s vision and ensure it reflects the needs and values of the Statesboro community.
