Statesboro’s Mayor and City Council establish the city’s vision and direction through approval of policies, ordinances, and the budget. The City Manager and City staff implement their vision and execute policies in addition to handling day-to-day administrative duties.

Statesboro’s Mayor and Council serve staggered four-year terms. The City of Statesboro is currently divided into five districts, with a Councilmember representing each of the five districts. The Mayor is the only member elected at large. 

When is the next City Council Meeting?

The Statesboro City Council meets twice a month:

First Tuesday of the Month – 9:00 a.m.
Third Tuesday of the Month – 5:30 p.m.
