We are pleased to be able to offer a limited virtual inspection program for certain types of fire safety inspections. Requests for virtual inspections will require the requester to use a personal electronic device, such as smartphone or tablet with access to both the device's camera and microphone.

Types of inspections that can be performed virtually:

  • Follow-up appointments for fire safety compliance items (commonly known as "re-inspections")

  • Food truck inspections
Once the form below is submitted, an inspector will make contact with you to schedule and make arrangements (FaceTime, Google Meet, Zoom, etc). On the morning of the inspection, the inspector will send a meeting link to the phone number provided. Simply click on the link for the appointment time. If the requestor is more than ten (10) minutes late, they will need to contact the department to reschedule.

During the inspection, the inspector will discuss and direct the requester to point the camera at various elements to be inspected. By submitting this request form, the requester allows the inspector to take screenshots during the inspection in lieu of in-person photos to acquire the required documentation. If, for some reason, the inspection cannot be conducted virtually, the inspection will need to be completed on-site.

A report of the inspection will be sent to the email provided once the inspection is completed.
