Did you know that if you live within the City of Statesboro city , you are eligible for our free smoke alarm program?
If you schedule an appointment, an on-duty Statesboro Fire crew will come out and check to make sure that your smoke alarms are in working order and that you have the proper coverage for your residence. If necessary, they will replace the batteries or install a new, 10-year smoke detector.
Please note: Our smoke alarm program is for those who may not have the resources to obtain their own smoke alarms. If you would like to provide your own smoke detector from a local retail store, the Statesboro Fire Department will gladly install it for you.
