Life Insurance

  • 100% Life Insurance is provided by the City of Statesboro through Lincoln Financial Group. The City provides each employee with life insurance valued at one times basic annual earnings, rounded to the next higher $1,000. An employee’s spouse is entitled to life insurance valued at $5,000.
  •  100% Long-term disability is intended to protect your income for a long duration after you have depleted short-term disability or any sick leave your company may offer.  All full-time active employees working 30 or more hours per week in an eligible class are eligible for coverage. Long-term disability is valued at 50% of an employee’s salary up to $5,000 per month.

 

Medical Insurance

  •  Health Insurance is provided to employees through Taylor Benefit Resource. The City also offers a flexible spending card as part of their benefits.
  • The city also offers an excellent dental plan.

 

Retirement

  • 100% of Retirement is paid through a Defined Benefit Retirement Plan. Public Safety can retire at age 55 with 25 years of service.

 

Clinic

  • The Clinic is provided by Transform Health Rx. All employees, retirees, and dependents are able to visit the clinic at no cost to the employee. Pharmaceuticals are available for a minimal cost.

 

Gym

  • The City of Statesboro offers an all-access gym that is available to employees.
